Agriculture Business Club receives top prize at Agricultural & Applied Economics Association meeting
Members of the Iowa State University Agricultural Business Club traveled to the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) meeting where the club was named Outstanding Club. This is the 13th time in 15 years that the club has received the organization's top awards. Dr. Georgeanne Artz attended the meeting with students and serves as adviser of the club.

Sixty-six incoming first-year College of Human Sciences students participated in Orientation at Iowa State University in Ames, June 21-22. As part of the program, students and their families met peers, signed up for classes, became familiar with the campus, and learned tips for making the most of their college careers.
A group of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) students successfully completed the semester representing the college as a CALS Ambassador. CALS Ambassadors is a highly selective group of students tasked with assisting in the recruitment of new undergraduate students to the college.
The Iowa State University College of Design Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for at least 12 credit hours of course work.
A group of almost 20 Iowa State University undergraduate students stretched their learning through research and laboratory experience in the Science with Practice program. Students participating in Science with Practice develop individualized learning agreements and project goals with Iowa State faculty mentors. At the conclusion of the semester, participants presented their projects at a poster session open to the public.
Eighteen students in the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences have been initiated into Kappa Omicron Nu, a national honor society for students in the human sciences. Initiation recognizes students for their distinguished academic record and potential for serving as an excellent professional.
